It's the beginning of my morning shift downtime at work (that time when most people are checked out and I'm just waiting for a few hours to make keys and check in the new arrivals, so naturally I resorted to the internet to entertain me (I'd crack open 50 Shades of Grey, but it's still too busy in the lobby to read, which requires me to block out everything else.)
One of my favorite webcomics is XKCD, "A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language." I've followed it for years and have probably only missed one or two strips. Anyways, the point. This strip in particular spoke to me a little bit. It's very much a metaphor for our busy, busy lives, and it just made me stop to think for a moment. People sometimes get entirely too focused on one thing that they let everything else go, and then it's mad scramble to try and catch up to everything else. We need balance.
I know I sure do.
